Well, it's photography. I haven't been running around and being active in photo shooting since the Batu Caves trip. So, I've been digging into my old files in my hard drive and I found a series of pictures I took of my daddy's TLR.
All the memories my daddy had with this camera. It's one of his first cameras. It's really old and in not a very good condition. But still the more vintage it looks, the more I love it.A TLR stands for Twin-Lens Reflex camera. It's a type of camera with two objective lenses of the same focal length. One of the lenses is the photographic objective (the lens that takes the picture), while the other is used for the waist-level viewfinder system. See how the image floats on the transparent glass. It works like magic.
What's good about TLRs? Well, one thing I know is that compared to single-lens reflex cameras (SLR) the TLRs provide a continuous image on the finder screen. The view does not black out during exposure.
Also, it does not have any shutter lag. So, that means it's great for action shots like sports or dances or even shooting Sageh Bear.
One disadvantage of the TLR is due to the viewfinder of a TLR camera require the photographer to look down toward the camera, it is inconvenient to frame a photo with a subject that requires the camera to be positioned above the photographer's chest.
Yea, so that's that. It's really something to check out. Looking at how cameras evolved. TLR doesn't even need any battery and it can take fantastic images.
It has all the sophisticated mechanism that a camera needs and also it comes with a really cool bag for storage. Cameras, photogaphy oh my love~~
